What does your business do?

Wine and food is simply a way of life to myself and my husband Executive chef @ The Library restaurant

We have been running restaurants in Norwich for 25 years this year and are in the process of planning some autumn events to celebrate this and 10 years since we have opened the Library .

The Library Restaurant, Bar & Grill in Norwich city centre enjoyed a fabulous revamp last year. A sumptuous makeover included the introduction of a relaxing lounge area and tasty tasty new dishes.

Housed in a stunning Grade II listed building that is the site of the first public library in Britain, The Library Restaurant, Bar & Grill offers high-quality modern English cuisine, specialising in fresh fish and meat cooked on a wood fired grill.

The main restaurant area – an expansive room with floor to ceiling bookcases, a 9-metre high glass ceiling and an upstairs art gallery and bar – is impressive and plush. There are rooms for private dining and a courtyard for outside eating and drinking. Enjoy coffee and snacks in the new lounge area, which is open from 11am. Morning papers and Wi-Fi make The Library an ideal meeting spot for business or pleasure .www

The Library offers an inspiring, distinctive space with two private rooms ideal for meetings and is perfect for other large functions such as weddings , Business meetings & company training days.

Jayne Offers bespoke wine tasting dinners for business clients within the private dining areas as well as hosting many business related events with the Norfolk chamber of commerce , the BID board and Norwich city council to name a few.

Why did you choose Breakaway?
I was recommended by a Breakaway member and initially, the early mornings were a barrier being in a catering business, but I was made to feel so welcome by the group and I really enjoy the early morning banter, the ease of parking and the lovely venue. Business leads soon followed as well as support and advice when needed.

What’s your favourite thing about Breakaway?
The fantastic referrals, support and advice-anything from a plumber, proof reading menus, leads into businesses and using the skills around the table to better our business.

Breakaway also support a local charity for a year and for a small group of around 26 members, we really do manage to raise a very respectable amount of money.

How Breakaway help us

All of the above as well as using our restaurants as venues for Breakaway Christmas parties, charity quizzes, breakfasts and business functions.
