After over 9 years as a member of Breakaway, the business networking group, I have finally succumbed to the pressure and taken on the role as Chairman for 2016.
During the 9 years I have been a member of Breakaway, it has provided a truly valuable source of business contacts & advice that has assisted my businesses to grow during this period. As Breakaway is a not for profit organisation and wholly owned by the members, we have the flexibility to evolve and ensure it not only is effective, but fun!
My role as European Managing Director of Sologic involves me managing and developing the business across multiple Countries. For this reason, it is more important than ever for me to have a direct connection with the business community in Norwich & Norfolk - Breakaway provides this on a weekly basis.
As we are not for profit, each year the Chairperson nominates a local charity that the group will support. This year, I have chosen to support the excellent and much needed work The Benjamin Foundation carry out across the County. One of our main focuses this year will be to raise as much money as possible to help the young homeless population of Norwich together with providing financial support to fund a trip away for a group of young carers during the summer holidays.
I am extremely proud to have been elected as the Chairman for 2016 and look forward to the year ahead.
